Pointe Claire, a quiet neighborhood located in the West Island of Montreal is what you might call a "sleepy" place. It is a part of the island that has been called "the West Island." West Island has a lot of different communities. For those who haven't been aware of it frequently mistake it for a separate island facing west. It is often cited as the location of birth of Amanda Brugel but while that may be true, her time there was short. Brugel was raised on Courtice located just outside Oshawa within Ontario. She aspired to be professional, however due to a rapid increase in her height, she outgrew all of her dancing partners.
